Animation With Impact

Aimed to attract Gen Z audiences who may struggle with short attention spans. It uses expressive motion, engagning visuals and neon colour theory to achive this.
The aim was to normalise the purchasing of explicit toys while being lighthearted, inclusive and engaging. To achive this I produced a space animation playing of the joke of “It not being rocket science”, bringing my quirky humor to the piece with the creative and explicit ship designs.
This piece consists of animation practices I wanted to improve upon, the focus being the transitions. I origionally started this piece by deconstructing and re drawing a Drink and Draw animation i had seen (the glass to pencil). I then progressed by combining it with two other animations, focusing on the smooth and unique transitions.
For this piece I had contacted my local Cat Cafe and offered to provide my services. Their aims were inclusivity and slowed motion, as to not upset any customers with epilepsy. As such I slowed my animation down and kept it very simplistic, utlising their brands personal colour scheme.
